Originally scheduled to take place on 11 July, the planned demonstration will now be put on hold in light of the UK Government's recently announced £1.57 billion rescue package for the arts. The protest in London was organised to criticise the Government's treatment of theatre and the performing arts during the pandemic after a long period of inaction.Â
